A man rooted firmly in the soil...

Adam was born  5th February 1990 in Stourbridge, West Midlands. Having acquired a passion for gardening at a young age, Adam took on his first allotment aged 11. With no formal training, Adam firmly believes a practical approach and extensive reading has served him well and advocates the self-taught route. Whilst still at school Adam built up a successful little business selling hanging baskets and bedding plants to his teachers. Also, whilst still at school Adam was awarded the Princess Diana memorial award for his work with horticulture.

Now a successful horticulturist, Adam is Head Gardener to John Massey MBE VMH at his private 3 acre canalside garden joining Ashwood nurseries. Adam also tends allotments and his exuberant garden at home which opens for charity.

Adam was appointed secretary to the West Midland district association of the National Vegetable Society back in 2013 and served two years, fulfilling the role and became a regular contributor to Simply Veg magazine . He is also Chairman of 'Wollaston Gardeners guild'.

Adam has opened his allotment to the public on numerous occasions, raising money for various charities. Now the garden opens under the NGS to raise money for various charities.

Adam writes gardening articles on request on a number of gardening-related subjects and also gives talks to various meeting groups. Contact Adam via the contact page for further details...
